Accused Markeith Loyd accomplices seek lower bonds

Loyd accused in shooting deaths of Sade Dixon, Debra Clayton

ORLANDO, Fla. – Two people accused of helping accused killer Markeith Loyd are asking to have their bonds lowered.

Loyd's ex-girlfriend, Jameis Slaughter, and his former boss, Zarghee Mayan, are accused of helping Loyd avoid capture.

In a motion filed Wednesday, Slaughter's attorney asked for her bond to be lowered from $500,000 to $10,000.

Meanwhile, a judge ruled Wednesday that Mayan's bond will remain at $400,000.

Loyd is accused of shooting and killing his pregnant ex-girlfriend, Sade Dixon, in mid-December. He's also accused in the shooting death of Orlando police Lt. Debra Clayton.

Loyd was arrested after a nine-day manhunt in Orlando.
