Police said the man posed as a customer and took a pack of disposable razors, a can of shaving cream and a Hershey’s Special Dark chocolate bar. The cashier rang up the items and placed them in a bag, and the man placed his wallet on the counter and ordered the cashier to put the money from the register inside his wallet, police said.

The cashier hesitated because of a language barrier, and the man pulled out a black handgun that had a suppressor, police said.

The cashier put some money in the man's wallet, and he fled with cash and the items he was brought to the checkout line, police said.

The culprit was last seen running north past a nearby Burger King and toward some motels, police said.

The gunman was described as a white man in his early to mid-30s with an athletic build, light, short, scruffy facial hair and blond eyebrows. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, light-colored shorts and black high top sneakers.

Anyone with information regarding the identity of the assailant is asked to call Crimelines at 800-423-TIPS.
