ORLANDO, Fla. – A woman is accused of hitting her boyfriend with a baseball bat and pouring bleach on him during a fight Monday afternoon, according to the Orange County Sheriff's Office.

Heidy Rivera, 26, returned home around 3 p.m. to find that her boyfriend had a friend visiting. Rivera told her boyfriend that his friend needed to leave because she didn't want him in the house or around her children.

The attack began when the victim refused to tell his friend to leave, deputies said.

Rivera started to yell then grabbed an aluminum baseball bat and swung it at the men, according to the arrest affidavit. She hit her boyfriend on the back of his leg and in return he pushed her away, deputies said.

Rivera put down the baseball bat, grabbed a bottle of bleach and poured it on the victim, according to the report. The suspect's son saw the attack and called 911.

The boyfriend threw the baseball bat over a fence before deputies arrived. He was visibly upset but not injured, deputies said.

Rivera is charged with aggravated assault domestic violence, aggravated battery, aggravated assault and aggravated child abuse.
