Central Florida deputies crack snake jokes on Facebook

Polk County deputies capture snake; Ocala snake still on loose

LAKE WALES, Fla. – Two Central Florida law enforcement agencies were cracking jokes Friday morning after Polk County deputies captured a snake outside of a Lake Wales home.

Polk County deputies posted a photo on Facebook of two deputies posing while one held the long snake up for the photo. The Sheriff's Office joked about the capture serving as further proof that they're a full-service law enforcement agency.

"Don't worry, no humans or snakes were harmed during this call for sssssssservice," the Sheriff's Office included in their caption.

Marion County deputies, who are still searching for a cobra that got loose in the Ocala area earlier this month, saw the post and cracked a joke themselves.
