CLERMONT, Fla. – Drivers have been asked to avoid an area of Clermont after a body was discovered on Thursday, according to the police department.
In a release, police said they received a 911 call around 12:57 p.m. about someone who was possibly dead inside a vehicle near West Park.

“As the first units arrived, contact was made with a vehicle and a male sitting in the driver seat,” the release reads. “The subject was pronounced deceased by Clermont Fire Department a short time later.”
Now, police are investigating what happened, though the department assures residents that the incident seems to be isolated and that there’s no known threat to the community.
In the meantime, police are asking locals to avoid the area of West Park as the investigation continues.
