Man shot dead in Titusville

TITUSVILLE, Fla. – A man was shot and killed late Sunday in Titusville, police said.

The fatal shooting was reported at 10:45 p.m. near Booker and Gilbert streets. Police identified the victim Monday afternoon as Pierre Quantez Butler, 34.

Titusville police said there is no active threat to the community, but no other details about the shooting have been released.

No one else was injured, police said.

"This homicide remains under investigation by the Titusville Police Department and further details will be released upon its conclusion by investigators," police said in a news release.
