DeLAND, Fla. – DeLand police are investigating after a body was found Thursday in a wooded area, according to the police department.

The body was found at 5:30 p.m. near the intersection of Spring Garden and Minnesota avenues.

Police said the body is that of a male who had a history of health-related issues.

The death does not appear to be suspicious based on evidence found at the scene, police said.
