Man charged in Winter Park 17-year-old's heroin overdose

Police say suspect supplied victim lethal dose of drug

WINTER PARK, Fla. – Winter Park police arrested a man Thursday who they said supplied a lethal dose of heroin to a 17-year-old boy in February.

The teenager was found Feb. 21 at 10 :22 p.m. suffering from an overdose behind a building on West Fairbanks Avenue, police said.

The teen had no pulse and was not breathing when police arrived, but after life-saving efforts he started breathing again on his own, according to the Winter Park Police Department.

Winter Park Street Crimes Unit officers investigated the incident and found that Patrick Creasman Jr., 20, of Longwood, provided the lethal dose of heroin to the victim, police said.

Creasman was arrested Thursday. He is charged with attempted first-degree murder, attempted aggravated manslaughter of a child, battery and delivery of a controlled substance to a minor.
