FSU quarterback surprises 'biggest fan' at Orlando elementary school

First-grader at Metrowest Elementary School surprised at lunch

ORLANDO, Fla. – A first-grader at Metrowest Elementary School got the surprise of his life when his biggest idol, Florida State quarterback Deondre Francois, surprised him at lunch.

Video shows Francois sneaking up behind Justin, whose last name was not provided, at lunch. Someone at the table asks him, "Are you ready for Florida State football?" As he says "yes," Francois sits down and puts his arm around him.

When the first-grader saw his idol, he immediately burst into tears.

Francois is an Orlando local. The quarterback attended Olympia High School before transferring to IMG Academy his senior year. As the starting quarterback last year at Florida State, he led the Seminoles to a 10-3 record and an Orange Bowl victory.

"I'm glad I could make his day," Francois wrote on Instagram. "Impact the youth in a positive way and give back, because you never know whose life you can change."
