Security guard shoots suspect outside Wendy's restaurant

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – A fight outside an Orange County Wendy's ended with one person shot, authorities said. 

Deputies told News 6 that two men were fighting late Tuesday night in the parking lot of the restaurant on South Orange Blossom Trail. 

Investigators said one of the men tried to run over the other with a car. 

Deputies said a security guard at the nearby Royal Inn saw what was about to happen and shot the driver after giving multiple warnings. 

Detectives said the suspect suffered minor injuries. He was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center for treatment.
