ORLANDO, Fla. – An Orlando apartment fire caused by a lightning strike Friday displaced several residents, the Orlando Fire Department said.
The fire was started when lightning hit the attic of the Woodlake Villas apartment complex off Lake Underhill Road, the fire department said.
Twelve apartments were affected and the Red Cross was notified to help provide assistance. Orlando Fire Department officials said eight adults were displaced by the fire.
Lake Underhill Road near Conway Road was closed as crews mopped up the fire.
