ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – Orange County deputies confirmed the identity of the woman reported missing in August after her body was found badly decomposed at the Tymber Skan condos as Andrea Powell.
Investigators launched a death investigation on Aug. 8 after the owner of the Tymber Skan condo on Tymberwood Lane noticed a foul smell and called authorities.
Additionally, investigators asked the public to help identify Powell after her ring and tongue ring were found.
A family member of Powell's told deputies they had not heard from her in several months and did notice the ring and tongue ring that police were hoping someone would recognize and lead them to identify her.
Due to the decomposition of her body, officials are not able to determine how Powell died.
