64-year-old motorcyclist killed in Ocala crash, troopers say

FHP: Motorcyclist hit by SUV

OCALA, Fla. – A 64-year-old man was killed in a motorcycle crash Saturday in Marion County, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

Troopers said Jack Reid, of Ocala, was riding his motorcycle north on County Road 200 in front of a Chevy Blazer SUV around 7:30 p.m.

As the vehicles approached Northwest 44th Street, Reid swerved and the SUV hit him, according to the crash report.

Reid, who was not wearing a helmet, was taken to Ocala Regional Hospital, where he later died, troopers said.

The driver of the SUV was not injured, the Highway Patrol said.
