2 men arrested in Deltona home invasion, deputies say

DELTONA, Fla. – Two men have been arrested related to a March Deltona home invasion, according to the Volusia County Sheriff's Office.

Two teens were pistol-whipped and a shot was fired in the March 30 home invasion, deputies said.

The Sheriff's Office said two masked gunmen entered the garage of the home and encountered a 19-year-old woman and a 16-year-old boy. The gunmen pistol-whipped both teens, and the boy was taken to a hospital for treatment for a cut, deputies said.

The intruders then went into the home, where there were three other residents, deputies said.

There was a struggle involving an 18-year-old man. Someone fired a shot into a bedroom wall, deputies said. No one was hurt in the shooting.

Deputies said Joshua Garcia, 22, and Tony Jones, 44, were arrested in the home invasion. Jones has since bonded out of jail, but Garcia remains in custody.
