Body found in Eau Gallie River identified as Sebastian man

MELBOURNE, Fla. – The body found in the Eau Gallie River has been identified as that of a 23-year-old Sebastian man, officials with the Melbourne Police Department said Tuesday.

Rico Malique Arocha had been missing since Friday. He came to Melbourne to go fishing, police said.

Arocha’s body was found in the water near Ballard Park on Monday.

His family has been notified. The investigation is ongoing.

The Melbourne Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division is asking any potential witnesses who may have relevant information on this case to contact Detective Ian Mitchell at 321-608-6452.
