ORMOND BEACH, Fla. – An Ormond Beach police officer was involved in a motorcycle crash Tuesday afternoon, according to department officials.
The crash happened on South Ridgewood Avenue near Rogers Park Drive at about 12:50 p.m., police said.

A spokesman for the Police Department said the officer was transported to the hospital and was alert after the crash.
Authorities did not identify the officer involved.
The driver of a red Toyota truck that was involved in the crash was not injured.
The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the incident.
