ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – A man suffered a traumatic crushing injury to his foot at a work site in the Winter Garden area Wednesday afternoon, according to officials from Orange County Fire Rescue.
The incident was reported shortly before 4 p.m. near the intersection of Avenue of the Rushes and Spikerush Lane, which is a residential area.

Officials said a 26-year-old man was airlifted Orlando Regional Medical Center as a trauma alert. The injury was caused by a road surface mill machine that ran over his right foot.
