Crash leaves 2 dead in Orange County, officials say

1 person also injured in crash taken to hospital

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – Two people are dead after a crash involving a motorcycle and a pickup truck Friday night, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Florida Highway Patrol responded to a crash at the intersection of Jason Street and Oak Ridge Road in Orange County just after 7:30 p.m. Friday.

According to the crash report, the driver of the pickup truck turned left onto Oak Ridge Road from Jason Street, into the path of the motorcycle, which was heading east. The report states the front of the motorcycle struck the left side of the pickup truck.

Officials said the drivers of both the motorcycle, a 31-year-old man, and the truck, a 66-year-old woman, were taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center, where they were later pronounced dead. Authorities have not released their names.

A passenger inside the truck was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. Troopers said that passenger was not wearing a seat belt.
