Police find man dead in Titusville home after reports of gunfire
Man was considered armed and dangerous, police say

TITUSVILLE, Fla. – A man was found dead after authorities surrounded a home in Titusville Thursday to investigate reports of gunfire, according to the Titusville Police Department.
Police said the road was shut down shortly after 1:30 p.m. as law enforcement officers tried to make contact with a man believed to be in the home located in the 4700 block of Cocoanut Drive.
Authorities said several shots were heard coming from the home and the man inside was believed to be armed and dangerous.
Around 3 p.m., Titusville police officials said a bomb robot went inside the home and found the man dead from what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Family members said the man was distraught over marital issues.
No other details were immediately available.
