16-year-old arrested in teen's murder in Palm Coast

Fatal shooting happened in area of Westfield and Westford lanes

A 16-year-old is arrested in Palm Coast.

PALM COAST, Fla. – The Flagler County Sheriff’s Office said a 17-year-old teen was shot and killed in Palm Coast on Friday night.

The teen was identified as Elijah Risvan, 17, by the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies said the shooting happened around 8:30 p.m. in the area of Westfield and Westford lanes.

Authorities arrested Benjamin Allen,16, Sunday and charged him with first-degree murder.

According to authorities, the teens set up a drug deal over Snapchat and agreed to meet.

Allen and three others drove over in a Ford Focus to meet with Risvan.

Officials say two people got out of the car and grabed Risvan by his arms, and one shot Risvan in the chest.

Investigators said the suspects left the scene in a silver vehicle with a spoiler.

The car was eventually located in the Island Estates subdivision of Palm Coast

According to officials, Allen showed up at the Flagler County Courthouse on Saturday night with his mother and stepfather to be interviewed.

During his interview with detectives, Allen admitted to being in the vehicle, but then asked for an attorney

Authorities tell News 6 that more arrests could be forthcoming.
