TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Police in Tallahassee say a man thought to have been fatally shot on New Year’s Day might have died because of fireworks instead.

Officers responded to a reported shooting around 2:15 a.m. Monday in the 600 block of Osceola Street, locating the injured man in the road, according to a post on the Tallahassee Police Department’s social media.
