ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – A recent study by MovingPlace has revealed which ZIP codes in the U.S. are the “hottest” nationwide.
And it turns out one of the top picks is right here in Central Florida.

More specifically, the report examines which areas in the U.S. saw the greatest number of people moving in between January and May 31, 2025, to figure out how these different ZIP codes fared.
Researchers said that the results of this year’s study indicate that homebuyers and renters are looking for more space, greater affordability, and newer housing options outside dense city centers.
“Many of these popular ZIP codes sit just beyond major metro hubs, offering the best of both worlds: access to thriving job markets and urban amenities, paired with quieter living, better schools, and a stronger sense of community,” the report reads.
Overall, the top two ZIP codes on the list are 77433 (Cypress, Texas) and 78130 (New Braunfels, Texas).
However, Central Florida’s Winter Garden ZIP code, 34787, swooped in to take No. 3.
"Winter Garden, just outside Orlando, attracted 3,442 newcomers, reflecting Florida’s ongoing appeal as a relocation hotspot. Known for its historic downtown, family-friendly neighborhoods, and proximity to theme parks and beaches, Winter Garden combines sunshine and lifestyle with relatively affordable housing compared with the rest of the state, making it ideal for families and retirees alike."

In fact, the study notes that the Sunbelt as a whole dominated the list, primarily thanks to the warmer weather, lower taxes and relatively affordable housing markets.
“With sprawling suburbs, growing job markets, and plenty of housing options, the Sunbelt is meeting the demands of modern movers looking for space, comfort and opportunity, reasons why this region remains a hotspot for movers,” the report continues.
Over the past few years, Florida’s population has swelled as millions have moved to the Sunshine State, according to federal data.
As a result of the moving boom, experts predict that the state’s population will surge to over 26 million within the next decade or so.
The phenomenon is expected to greatly boost the state’s overall production and grow its tourism industry further, though the drawback is that more people will result in a much higher cost of living.
Regardless, the rest of MovingPlace’s ranking for 2025 is as follows:
