Search underway off Florida coast for 2 boaters who went missing during fishing trip

LEE COUNTY, Fla. – Two men went missing during a fishing trip off Florida’s Gulf Coast, according to deputies.

According to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office, 57-year-old Randall Spivey and 33-year-old Brandon Billmaier were reported missing on Friday.

Spivey, who is an attorney in Fort Myers, and his nephew left Friday morning on a 42-foot Freeman boat from a home in the 15000 block of Intracoastal Court in Fort Myers, according to WINK News.

The U.S. Coast Guard has been searching over the weekend for the duo 70 miles off the Fort Myers coast. The search is expected to continue Monday.
