SUMTER COUNTY, Fla. – A 27-year-old Florida man was killed Friday morning when his vehicle drove off an overpass, landed on I-75 in Sumter County and crashed into another vehicle, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

The fatal wreck occurred around 10 a.m. on I-75 at mile marker 331 near Wildwood.

The FHP said an Inverness man was driving a Honda Accord east on County Road 462 when he lost control and drove off the overpass.

The Honda landed on I-75 south and collided with a Volvo SUV driven by a 61-year-old Georgia man, according to an FHP crash report.
