Two Miami police motormen were hurt Wednesday morning on the Dolphin Expressway (Copyright 2026 by WPLG Local10.com - All rights reserved.)

MIAMI – Two Miami police motormen were hurt Wednesday morning on the Dolphin Expressway, according to News 6 partner WPLG-TV.

The crash happened in the westbound lanes of the Dolphin Expressway near Northwest 42nd Avenue. Officers responded after reports that an SUV struck multiple motormen working on or near the roadway.

A Miami Police Department spokesperson said the injured motormen were taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center. They are expected to recover and may have suffered leg and arm injuries.

Police added that two other motormen positioned behind them were not hurt in the incident.

Miami police said a black SUV was believed to be involved, but investigators are still determining if the vehicle at the scene was connected to the crash.

Details about how the crash occurred were not immediately available.
