Troopers said the semi was traveling south on I-95 in the outside lane as the truck traveled in front of it.

Traffic in front of the truck had slowed down as a traffic in the left, middle and inside lanes were flowing at normal speeds, troopers said.

The semi did not slow down and the front of the semi struck the back of the truck's motorhome, according to FHP.

The truck and motorhome jackknifed as a result of the impact. Troopers said the motorhome overturned to the right side and the truck was then facing north.

The semi pushed the truck and motorhome 500 feet until the vehicles came to a stop, blocking all three southbound lanes, according to FHP.

All lanes were blocked and traffic was backed up in the area until US-192. FHP said there was debris all over the road. Drivers were urged to use caution while driving in the area. The interstate reopened just before 10 p.m. Thursday.

FHP said the driver of the semi, identified as Adrian Andranowski, 23, of Staten Island, New York, suffered minor injuries. The driver and passenger inside of the truck were not hurt.

Troopers said the crash remains under investigation and charges are pending against Andranowski.
