Woman, dog evacuated from home after fire, authorities say

A woman and her dog had to be evacuated from a home after a fire, according to Orange County Fire Rescue.

A possible cause of the fire was a lightning strike because the woman said she heard a loud bang and saw a bright flash, according to authorities.

The home is located in the 5000 block of Barma Court.

Authorities said there were no injuries and the fire was extinguished, but there was damage inside the home.
