Home in Cocoa struck by lightning, authorities say
Room upstairs suffered charring, but no other damage suffered at house, authorities say

A home in Cocoa was struck by lightning on Saturday, according to Brevard County Fire Rescue.
Authorities said they found some charring in one of the rooms in the upstairs portion of the home as a result of the strike, but there was no other damage.

Power was secured and the property was turned back over to the homeowner, authorities said.
