WINTER PARK, Fla. – On Wednesday, November 9, a unique job fair will take place to connect veterans and their spouses with career opportunities in Central Florida.
The tenth annual “Paychecks for Patriots” event will take place at Full Sail Live Venue at 141 University Park Drive, Winter Park from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.

According to organizers, more than 40 companies will be in attendance, including OMNI Hotel and Resort, Amazon, Orlando Health, Lockheed Martin, City of Apopka, City of Lake Mary, City of Winter Garden, Orange County Government, Full Sail University and more offering career opportunities in positions like Project Surveyor, Utility Technician, Registered Nurse, Licensed Therapist, Career Services Consultant, Warehouse Associate and more.
This particular event is hosted by CareerSource Central Florida, and is part of a series of events throughout the month of November statewide. Over the past nine years, more than 6,710 veterans and military family members have participated in Paychecks for Patriots events.
Similar “Paychecks for Patriots” will take place in other parts of Central Florida; on Thursday, November 10 from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at 2720 E Silver Springs Blvd, in Ocala and Thursday, November 10 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 2300 Judge Fran Jamieson Way, Melbourne. An event for North Central Florida is TBD.
Non-veterans are also welcome to attend.
