Cash toll collection suspended across Central Florida ahead of Hurricane Nicole

All drivers hoping to pay tolls with cash will be charged via toll invoice

FLORIDA – As Hurricane Nicole gets closer to Florida, the Central Florida Expressway Authority will temporarily suspend cash toll collections starting Wednesday afternoon.

According to a release from CFX, the cash toll suspension is to keep toll collectors safe, and all drivers hoping to pay tolls with cash on Wednesday, Nov. 9, or Thursday, Nov. 10, will be charged via toll invoice.

Cash toll collections are expected to resume Friday, Nov. 11.

CFX will also be closing its headquarters starting Wednesday afternoon at 3 p.m., and will resume operations Monday, Nov. 14.
