Florida man seen taking live fish from indoor pond at Bass Pro Shops, video shows

Deputies said suspect fled the store with tarpon in hand

LEE COUNTY, Fla. – The Lee County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a male who was seen taking a live fish from a Bass Pro Shops on Wednesday evening, according to the sheriff’s office.

In a release, deputies said that the male entered a Bass Pro Shops in the Gulf Coast Town Center while carrying a fish net.

He then used the net to remove a live tarpon from the indoor fish pond before fleeing the store with it, the release shows.
