Motorcycle-truck crash in Ocala leaves woman dead, man seriously hurt

Crash happened near Northwest 10th Street and North Pine Avenue

OCALA, Fla. – A woman was killed and a man seriously injured during a crash in Ocala on Tuesday evening, according to the police department.

In a release, police said that the crash happened around 6:45 p.m. at the intersection of Northwest 10th Street and North Pine Avenue.

The man and woman were both on a motorcycle, which collided with a pickup truck, police said. No information was provided about what caused the crash.

Both the man and woman were taken to the hospital afterward with serious injuries, and the woman later died from her injuries, the release shows.

“Our hearts go out to their loved ones during this difficult time,” the release reads.

Traffic in the area was shut down as a result of the crash, though police announced around 9:20 p.m. that the roadway had since opened.
