Crews fighting 15-acre brush fire near Cocoa

COCOA, Fla. – Brevard County crews are battling a 15-acre brush fire near Cocoa, and though no structures are in danger, drivers may see smoke in the area.

The brush fire is in the area just south of State Road 528 and I-95.

The fire was originally reported as being 5 acres in size, but later it was estimated to be 15 acres, according to Brevard County Fire Rescue.

The fire is in a wooded area and not near any buildings.
