Orlando conference helps people with autism become more independent Watch Breakfast with Bridgett interview at top of this story
According to the CDC, about 5.8 million adults are living with autism. For some, living independently can be a challenge.
It’s one of the issues being covered at the annual statewide Center For Autism And Related Disabilities Conference coming up Jan. 16-19 in Orlando.
Among the speakers this year, Shane Campfield, co-founder of HURDLE, and Patty Myers, the executive director of Building Pathways Foundation.
Both teach people living with autism how to become more independent, including this year’s presentation at the conference about dealing with grief as an autistic person.
