MELBOURNE, Fla. – Pie-eating contests, family fun and more are heading to Melbourne this weekend with the annual Strawberry Fest.
The festival will take place at Castle Park on Saturday and Sunday.

There will be lots of activities to enjoy, whether you’re with friends or family. There will be axe throwing, bounce houses, pony rides, a free petting zoo and lots of contests to take part in.
There will also be a free frisbee dog show.
Plus, there will be monster truck rides!
Some of the treats you can try include strawberry shortcake and chocolate-covered strawberries.
A portion of the proceeds from this event will go toward the Children’s Hunger Project, a nonprofit in Brevard County that “provides weekend meals and fights childhood hunger and malnutrition during the school year,” according to its website.
It costs $7 to get into the event, but you can get $1 off admission if you bring a canned good. Admission is cash only.
