Central Florida hospital president shaves head for childhood cancer awareness Community unites for childhood cancer research at St. Baldrick’s event
Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children recently hosted the St. Baldrick’s Foundation’s Shave for Shamrocks event, uniting the community in support of childhood cancer research.
The event, which raises funds to advance life-saving treatments for young cancer patients, featured a special highlight this year: Hospital president Jason Williams and oncologist Dr. Rikin Shah had their heads shaved by patients.
“I’m just filled with joy and excitement to be able to have our patients participate in this wonderful cause,” Williams said. “It has just been something truly special.”

The St. Baldrick’s Foundation has generously contributed $250,000 through grants submitted via the Orlando Health Foundation.
These funds support research and clinical trials at Orlando Health Arnold Palmer, helping to advance treatments for children battling cancer.
