Apopka police looking for missing man suffering from ‘unusual stress’

APOPKA, Fla. – Police in Apopka are looking for a missing man who was last seen Friday morning.

Phillip Smith, 55, was last seen wearing a grey/blue t-shirt, blue cargo jeans and brown boots.

Smith’s wife and son told police that Smith was seen between 10:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. Friday, and when they returned home, they could not find him.

They believe Smith will be on foot and may be carrying a large red and grey backpack.

His family says Smith had been suffering from some unusual stress due to recent life events.
