FLAGLER BEACH, Fla. – An abandoned shrimp boat washed ashore on Flagler Beach on Sunday evening, according to a news release.

Officials from the Flagler Beach Fire Department said they responded to the boat around 6:05 p.m. in the area of 2480 North Oceanshore Blvd.

Crews said they attempted to make vocal contact with the crew, but they were unable to locate anyone.

According to the release, “a search of the vessel was conducted with no findings.”

Officials said they contacted the Coast Guard and were told the crew was unaccounted for.

The scene was turned over to law enforcement, who will wait for the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, according to the release.
