Jones High School student found with gun during random search, police say School resource officer finds firearm in teen’s backpack No description found
ORLANDO, Fla. – A 17-year-old Jones High School student on Tuesday was found with a gun during a random weapons search, according to the Orlando Police Department.
The Orlando Police Department said a school resource officer searched the boy, who had a gun in his backpack.
The teen was taken to the Juvenile Assessment Center.
News 6 is not naming the teen due to his age.
The boy faces charges of possession of a firearm on school property and carrying a concealed weapon.
