ORLANDO, Fla. – Orlando police announced on Thursday that they’re searching for the man behind a break-in and attempted sexual assault at a local home.
In a release, police said they responded around 10 p.m. on Tuesday after receiving a report about the burglary, which happened at a home along Wilkinson Street in the Orwin Manor neighborhood.
“The victim reported that an unknown man broke into her home and attempted to sexually assault her,” the release reads.
Police originally released a brief description of the culprit in a since-deleted post on X. Iin an updated release on Friday, police said the man was “described as wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt” and that the sweatshirt was possibly discarded as he fled the scene.

Police said that the victim had previously encountered a man sleeping in a shed on her property earlier that day.
He was described as a young man with no facial hair and a Caribbean accent. He was also seen wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, black pants and black shoes with white trim.
The department released photos of a person of interest in that morning incident, which can be seen below.
Police said it is unknown whether the incidents or persons are related.
