ORLANDO, Fla. – Two women are facing armed robbery and kidnapping charges after Orlando police say they held a USPS worker at gunpoint last year.
The robbery happened around 5 p.m. on Wilts Circle South on March 20, 2024. According to arrest affidavits, a witness told police “an unknown male pulled out a gun and put it at the side of a mailman” while he was making his routine mail drop.

The witness then attempted to intervene, but the suspect forced the victim into the mail van and instructed him to count to 50 before fleeing the scene in a white Lexus. The victim said the suspect asked for his USPS scanner, arrow key, and personal phone, to which the victim complied, the affidavit states.
After the suspect fled, the witness let the victim out of the vehicle, and the victim refused medical attention.
The suspect’s vehicle was later identified through traffic cameras, confirming its involvement in the robbery. Through an investigation, police discovered the Lexus was sub-leased to a woman, who later identified Jasmine Lemon, 31, as one of the individuals who had driven the car, the affidavit states.
As the investigation progressed, it was revealed that both Lemon and Dericka Herron, 25, were linked to a series of fraudulent activities involving stolen mail and credit cards, police said.
On April 30, 2024, Herron was arrested for using a stolen credit card, leading to the discovery of multiple pieces of stolen mail in her possession.
Evidence from call detail records placed both Lemon and Herron at the scene of the robbery. Records also showed that Herron’s phone was inside the suspect vehicle moments before and after the robbery. Additionally, Lemon’s phone was frequently in contact with Herron’s, establishing a connection between the two during the crime, the affidavit states.
On Tuesday, Lemon and Herron were booked into the Orange County Jail on charges of armed robbery with a firearm, armed kidnapping, and aggravated assault with a firearm.
