LAKE COUNTY, Fla. – Drivers in South Lake County are voicing concerns about a hole in a busy road that’s been causing problems for several months.
The issue is on Town Center Boulevard at Resort Way, which is north of U.S. 192.
According to several drivers in the area, barrels have blocked part of the road since last year.
Sandra Konieczka moved to The Oaks on the Lake Apartments in September and said her daily drive home has been an issue.

“It’s just not a good situation. It’s dangerous,” Konieczka said. “The fact that every time I pull in from work, people don’t know which way to go.”
With the blockade on Town Center Boulevard, drivers are forced to swerve around the barrels as the road is reduced from two lanes to one lane.
Konieczka said she was worried there could be a serious accident because of the situation.
“It would hold up traffic, people could get hurt. We walk to the store all the time, so it’s a hazard for us walking,” she said.
With the problem area outside the city limits of Clermont, Lake County officials said they’re looking into the issue and determining who is responsible for the road’s maintenance.
“It needs to be fixed. It needs to be addressed whether it’s private or public,” Konieczka said.
