‘LIFTMASTER:’ Gambling den unearthed amid raid on disguised Orange County store

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – An illegal gambling operation was uncovered at a seeming garage door repair shop in Orange County this week, according to the sheriff’s office.

In a release, deputies said they executed a search warrant at the disguised gambling den on Monday, seizing 18 illegal gaming machines and a “significant amount of cash.”

“Understand this: Illegal after-hours and gambling clubs pose a significant threat to public safety — and the Orange County Sheriff’s Office will shut you down," the release reads.

Photos released by the sheriff’s office on Tuesday show that the building had signs out front reading “LiftMaster,” with a message in small print that stated, “This branch is dispatcher not for public.”

The sheriff’s office also extended its thanks to the Florida Division of Gaming Enforcement for its help in the case.

No additional information was provided, including whether any arrests were made and the address of the disguised shop.
