SOUTH APOPKA, Fla. – A man located with “obvious signs of trauma” early Sunday in South Apopka has died, according to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies found the man while responding around 3:30 a.m. to the area of the intersection of E. Ella J. Gilmore Street and Clarcona Road, the sheriff’s office said in a statement.
The man, identified on Tuesday as 18-year-old Kelan J’Juan Rodriguez, was taken to a local hospital where he was later pronounced dead, a statement read.
An investigation is said to be in its early stages, according to the sheriff’s office, which described the man’s death as a homicide.
No further details were immediately available.
