Apopka police conducting death investigation after possible traffic-related incident

Victim identified as Daniel J. Hodge

APOPKA, Fla. – An investigation is underway after a person was found dead in Apopka, police said.

Around 6:30 a.m. Monday, officers responded to a home on 250 East 3rd St. Upon arrival, first responders confirmed that the individual was deceased, police said.

Police identified the victim as 53-year-old Daniel J. Hodge. Preliminary findings suggest that the incident may be traffic-related.

Footage from the scene shows a heavy police presence, crime scene tape, and the medical examiner.

Police said there is no threat to the public.
