ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – A man and a woman were found shot at an Orange County apartment complex Saturday afternoon, prompting a large sheriff’s office presence.
On Saturday Afternoon, News 6 viewers sent pictures showing several Orange County Sheriff’s Office vehicles at The Baldwin apartments, which is off East Colonial Drive between Semoran Boulevard and Forsyth Road.
A viewer told News 6 they heard gunshots before the deputies showed up.
“A guy told me that he heard 10 to 20 shots, and he called the cops,” one resident told News 6’s Jarell Baker.
Residents also complained that they hadn’t gotten any notification about what happened.
“I haven’t heard anything about it, so that’s really shocking too,” said resident Sarah Garcia. “That nobody has posted anything on our chat.”
According to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office, deputies arrived at the complex to find a man in his 30s and a woman in her 20s, both with gunshot wounds. They were taken to an area hospital. Deputies say the man has critical injuries and the woman has non-life-threatening injuries.
In the pictures, Orange County Fire Rescue ambulances can also be seen.
Neighbors said deputies were on the third floor of the building, where they left behind gloves and other items used in the investigation.
The sheriff’s office says they’ve accounted for everyone at the crime scene, and there is no threat to the general public.
