71-year-old woman killed in freak accident when trailer door falls on her head in DeLand Snapped cable causes door to fall on woman

DELAND, Fla. – A 71-year-old woman has died from her injuries after an accident involving a trailer in DeLand Sunday.
The Volusia County Sheriff’s Office says the incident happened at a garage along Hontoon Road near Lake Beresford.
Deputies say a cable on a trailer door snapped, causing the door to fall on the woman suddenly, hitting her head.
Her husband tried to lift the door by hand, and then used a vehicle jack to lift it and free her, the sheriff’s office said. But they said her injuries were too severe and she passed away.
