ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – Orange County on Friday lifted a precautionary boil water advisory following a water main break three days prior near State Road 535, South Apopka Vineland Road, Winter Garden Vineland Road and Palm Parkway.

While there was no evidence of contamination, officials recommended that all water used for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth or washing dishes be boiled for at least one minute before use.

“It is no longer necessary to boil water prior to consumption,” the county said Friday in a statement.

Traffic delays southbound on State Road 535 will continue until all repairs to the road are completed.

Earlier in the week, Orange County released a map of the affected area.
