MARION COUNTY, Fla. – The Marion County Sheriff’s Office believes the public may be able to help it identify two people who allegedly stole guns from parked vehicles earlier this month near Summerfield.
It happened in the 3200 block of SE 142nd Lane, the sheriff’s office said on social media.
The post included surveillance footage that can be viewed at the top of this story. In it, one figure can be seen walking down the street while another enters three vehicles parked side by side and appears to rummage through them before ultimately running away.
Investigators pointed to the clarity of the video — as well as how the suspects’ faces appear to only be partially covered — in their appeal for information from the public.
“(We) believe that someone may be able to identify these individuals by their clothing,” the post states. “If you have any information that can help us identify them, please call 352-732-9111.”
Tips can be made anonymously to Crime Stoppers by calling 352-368-7867 or by submission to OcalaCrimeStoppers.com, referencing 25-18, the sheriff’s office said.
