APOPKA, Fla. – A 4-year-old girl was killed after she was run over by an SUV in a private driveway, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
The crash happened around 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday near Robinson Avenue and 13th Street.
According to FHP, Kamaria Simmons was standing next to the right rear passenger door of a 2018 Chevrolet Traverse when her mother pulled forward without realizing her daughter was there. The movement caused the girl to fall and be struck by the vehicle.
